A Guide to Barbecues & Grills - Gas, Charcoal or Wood Pellet?
Barbecues & Grills
We all know what it’s like to gather outside on a beautiful summer day and enjoy the company of family or friends while the barbecue is sizzling away, searing your favorite steaks or shrimp. There are numerous types of barbecues and grills that can be purchased for your outdoor space. You can choose from a custom built outdoor kitchen with an embedded barbecue, or a stand-alone gas barbecue, charcoal or wood pellet grill. Not only do barbecues add warmth to a cold night, they also create a festive ambiance with family or friends, not to mention the delicious food they can crank out.
Gas Barbecues & Grills
Gas Barbecues and Grills can be integrated into an outdoor kitchen as a way to reflect your aesthetic taste and complement the looks of your backyard. In creating a custom barbecue setting, different materials can be arranged to create a unique and original look for your setting. The most popular barbecues and grills today are gas powered. Available in a wide range of options and prices, gas powered barbecues provide a low-cost, efficient and easy method to start and maintain your barbecue. They are easy to clean and gas cylinders are widely available from most convenience stores.
Charcoal Grills
Charcoal grills are typically known and utilized for producing better tasting cooked meats. The fumes and smoke from a charcoal grill infuse the meat with a more natural, richer taste, while also doing a better job of slowly tenderizing the meat, making it less likely to overcook and dry out. The downside to charcoal grills unlike gas grills, is that they can be tricky to start and are less likely to maintain a steady heat temperature without constant maintenance.
Wood Pellet Grills
Another option for barbecues and grills, which have grown in popularity more recently are powered via wood pellet grills, which claim to cook meat better. However, they require special wood pellets, which can be more expensive than charcoal or gas and are not as easily available. Wood pellet grills do provide a very consistent heat temperature, making it easy to maintain a steady, evenly cooked meat and do produce a tastier, evenly cooked meat than gas grills.
