Farley Interlocking Paving Stones of Palm Desert is dedicated exclusively to interlocking pavers. Originally established in the 1970s, the nationally certified company has been under the direction of president Charissa Farley for the past 10 years.
Boasting the only showroom of its type in Southern California, the company does commercial and residential work throughout the Coachella Valley and Southern California. Company projects have logged a million square feet of streets and thousand of driveways.
Farley’s passion for the business is formidable. She loves to cite the advantages of pavers. “They are less expensive than stone but can mimic their aesthetics. They are long- lasting and durable. Pavers are perfect for almost any hardscape application.”
Paving the road to success
Farley believes that pride in workmanship and commitment to quality are the true building blocks to success. To maintain high quality workmanship and efficient installation, the company continually invests in modern technology and tools. Recently, Farley became the first owner in North America of a Pathfinders System Optimas T-11 paver installation machine.
“Some women dream of owning a Lamborghini — that is what the Optimas means to me,” Farley said.
She is the first woman to secure advanced ICPI Certification in the U.S. as an Authorized Contractor Instructor in the advanced Residential Paver Technician course.
“We are committed to offering the best service and technology advancements to our clients and continuing education to our architects and technicians,” Farley said.
The company’s efforts have been rewarded with five National Concrete Awards in the residential, commercial and specialty categories.

As president of the firm, Farley is described as a pioneer in the hardscape industry and affectionately called the “Queen of Pavers” for her development in the trade of interlocking paving.
Farley also co-hosts the television show, “Home Makeover in the Desert,” and serves on the board of directors of Desert Cancer Foundation.
